The Future of Performance and Affordability

The Spectrum Master™ MS2760A is the world´s first handheld millimeterwave (mmWave) spectrum analyzer to provide continuous coverage from 9 kHz up to 110 GHz. It is ideal for the growing 5G network development market, as well as other fast growing mmWave applications, like 802.11ad / WiGig, E-band microwave wireless communications, satellite communications, and automotive radar.

The Spectrum Master™ MS2760A is an innovative, new mmWave spectrum analyzer design. It delivers basic spectrum analysis capabilities well below the price point of traditional spectrum analyzers and in an unimaginably small form factor that operates from 9 kHz up to 110 GHz.

The Spectrum Master™ MS2760A is a direct conversion spectrum analyzer below 6.15 GHz and utilizes sampler-based conversion above 6.15 GHz. The sampler-based conversion of the Spectrum Master™ MS2760A exploits Anritsu´s patented shockline non-linear transmission line (NLTL) sampling technology in a customized MMIC based RFIC. The Spectrum Master™ MS2760A also employs unique software algorithms to minimize image responses that may appear under certain use cases when wideband modulated and multi-tone signals are being analyzed.

Channel Power

Channel power measurement is one of most common measurements for a radio transmitter. This test measures the output power, or channel power, of a transmitter over a defined frequency range. Out-of-specification power measurements indicate system faults, typically in the power amplifiers or in filter circuits. Channel power measurements are required to validate transmitter performance, comply with government regulations, or to keep overall system interference at a minimum.

Adjacent Channel Power (ACPR)

A common transmitter measurement is that of adjacent channel leakage power. This is the ratio of the amount of leakage power in an adjacent channel to the total transmitted power in the main channel, and is used to replace the traditional two-tone intermodulation distortion (IMD) test for system nonlinear behavior. The result of an ACPR measurement is expressed as a power ratio between the main and adjacent or alternate channels. In order to calculate the upper and lower adjacent channel values, the Spectrum Master™ MS2760A allows the adjustment of four parameters to meet specific measurement needs: main channel center frequency, measurement channel bandwidth, adjacent channel bandwidth, and channel spacing. When an air interface standard is specified in the Spectrum Master™ MS2760A, all these values are automatically set to the normal values for that standard.


ACP Measurement

Occupied Bandwidth

Occupied bandwidth (OBW) is a common measurement performed on radio transmitters. This measurement calculates the bandwidth containing the total integrated power occupied in a given signal bandwidth. There are two different methods of calculation, depending upon the technique used to modulate the carrier:

  • % Integrated Power Method: The occupied frequency bandwidth is calculated as the bandwidth containing the specified percentage of the transmitted power.
  • dB Tx Frequency Error Method: The occupied frequency bandwidth is defined as the bandwidth between the upper and lower frequency points at which the signal level is a desired number of dB below the peak carrier level.

Comprehensive Marker Table

For better data analysis, the comprehensive marker table provides information on marker number, mode, function, trace #, and X and Y values, and is capable of displaying up to twelve regular and twelve delta markers as needed. A marker´s component can be easily changed by selecting the marker, clicking on the desired component, and selecting the new value from a list or entering a numerical value.

Limit Line With Pass/Fail

Two types of limit lines can be specified: lower limit lines and upper limit lines. Limit lines can be used for visual reference only or for pass/fail criteria using the limit alarm. Limit alarm failures are reported whenever a signal is above the upper limit line or below the lower limit line. By using "save on event", a signal that causes a limit alarm can be automatically saved. Each limit line can consist of a single segment or as many as 40 segments. These limit segments are retained regardless of the current frequency span of the instrument, which allows the configuring of specific limit envelopes at various frequencies of interest without having to re-configure them each time the frequency is changed. Limit envelope characteristics allow users to make adjustments to amplitude and frequency of each inflection point, and make it easy to add or delete inflection points to achieve a desired limit results.

Spectrogram

A spectrogram is a multi-dimensional representation of frequency, time, and power that is useful for identifying intermittent interference. Color is used to represent power levels. Every trace captured in the spectrogram has a time and position index. The Spectrum Master™ MS2760A software allows you to set the position of the spectrogram cursor based on either the time or position index. When position is selected, you can change the position of the time cursor by adjusting the spectrogram position value in the TRACE / DETECTOR menu. If time is selected, you can set the position of the time cursor based on the amount of time that has passed since the selected trace and the current time.

Multi-Trace Display

Multi-trace display allows up to 6 traces to be shown on the screen with different trace types (average, max hold, min hold, rolling average, rolling max hold, and rolling min hold) and detector types (peak, RMS/average, and negative) for additional data analysis.

Zero Span Capability

Signal amplitude is displayed as a function of time. With zero span capability, the carrier power of a transmitter can be easily measured. For example, in the graph below, zero span is used to measure a pulsed emission. Automotive FMCW radar and traditional pulse radar are the key applications. Engineers can also use zero span mode to measure the channel power of digitally modulated signals.

MS2830A is a high-speed, high-performance, cost-effective Spectrum Analyzer/Signal Analyzer. Not only can it capture wideband signals but FFT technology supports multifunction signal analysis in both time and frequency domains. Behavior in the time domain that cannot be handled by a sweep type spectrum analyzer can be checked in the frequency domain. A wide frequency can be analyzed using sweep type spectrum analysis functions while detailed signal analysis of a specific frequency band is supported too.

The built-in signal generator function outputs both continuous wave (CW) and modulated signals for use as a reference signal source when testing Tx characteristics of parts and as a signal source for evaluating Rx characteristics.

The MS2830A Signal Analyzer supports very high-speed spectrum analyzer functions, such as sweeping and frequency switching time.


Vector Signal Analyzer Mode

Using the VSA mode with advanced DSP and FFT technologies cuts in-band and out-of-band spurious measurement times by 90% (compared to previous models) to greatly improve manufacturing and adjustment throughput.

The MS2830A performs in-band measurements, such as ACP, OBT and Channel Power, many times faster than sweep spectrum analyzers by using FFT batch capture and analysis over a 125-MHz bandwidth and measurement interval.

MS2830A Level Calibration technology assures excellent level accuracy over a wide frequency range from 300 kHz to 4 GHz even under measurement conditions including the above three errors. It has built-in amplitude/phase calibration circuits to automatically calibrate out internal errors.

The MS2830A's Total Level Accuracy includes Frequency Characteristics, Linearity and Attenuator Switching Error, where most other spectrum analyzers does not include.

The level accuracy is assured even when the frequency and attenuator are switched. Better accuracy translates to better yield and less down time.

SSB Low Phase Noise Performance

SSB phase noise performance is increasingly important at carrier offsets of 1 kHz to 100 kHz. Spectrum analyzer phase noise performance affects ACLR/MASK measurements at narrowband communications. (Channel bandwidth : <100 kHz) The superior ACLR performance is useful for Tx tests of devices such as amplifiers.

With SSB phase noise performace of -120 dBc/Hz @ 10-kHz offset, MS2830A is able to achieve F3E out-of-band/proximity spurious for the worst-case standard under all conditions measurements (e.g Land Mobile Radio - LMR).

The MS2830A-044/045 Signal Analyzer includes a spectrum analyzer function for measuring up to 110 GHz using an external mixer based on the 26.5 GHz / 43 GHz upper frequency limit. It can be customized to support a range of application-specific measurements.

  • The signal analyzer mode can catch the instant change of the frequency/phase/amplitude/spectrum of the microwave signals.
  • Installing a microwave-band preamp supports measurement of weaker signals.
  • Using the 1st IF signal output as a down converter supports analysis in combination with external equipment.

The MS2830A Signal Analyzer supports very high-speed spectrum analyzer functions, such as sweeping and frequency switching time.


Vector Signal Analyzer Mode

Using the VSA mode with advanced DSP and FFT technologies cuts in-band and out-of-band spurious measurement times by 90% (compared to previous models) to greatly improve manufacturing and adjustment throughput.

The MS2830A performs in-band measurements, such as ACP, OBT and Channel Power, many times faster than sweep spectrum analyzers by using FFT batch capture and analysis over a 125-MHz bandwidth and measurement interval.

MS2830A Level Calibration technology assures excellent level accuracy over a wide frequency range from 300 kHz to 4 GHz even under measurement conditions including the above three errors. It has built-in amplitude/phase calibration circuits to automatically calibrate out internal errors.

The MS2830A's Total Level Accuracy includes Frequency Characteristics, Linearity and Attenuator Switching Error, where most other spectrum analyzers does not include.

The level accuracy is assured even when the frequency and attenuator are switched. Better accuracy translates to better yield and less down time.

SSB Low Phase Noise Performance

SSB phase noise performance is increasingly important at carrier offsets of 1 kHz to 100 kHz. Spectrum analyzer phase noise performance affects ACLR/MASK measurements at narrowband communications. (Channel bandwidth : <100 kHz) The superior ACLR performance is useful for Tx tests of devices such as amplifiers.

With SSB phase noise performace of -120 dBc/Hz @ 10-kHz offset, MS2830A is able to achieve F3E out-of-band/proximity spurious for the worst-case standard under all conditions measurements (e.g Land Mobile Radio - LMR).

The Spectrum Analyzer/Signal Analyzer MS2840A has an upper measurement frequency limit of 44.5 GHz and its carrier close-in SSB phase noise performance is overwhelmingly best-of-class for middle range models. The MS2840A supports measurements across a wide frequency band ranging from applications such as microwave wireless backhaul, requiring high phase-noise performance to measure transmitter carrier close-in spurious, to VHF/UHF private mobile radio (PMR). Connecting the High Performance Waveguide Mixer MA2806A/MA2808A to the MS2840A not only supports wide dynamic range measurements from 50 to 90 GHz but also eliminates image-response effects at wideband signal measurements, supporting millimeter-wave wideband wireless applications, such as wireless backhaul, automobile radar, WiGig, etc., as well as evaluation of millimeter-wave radar antenna sidelobe characteristics, which requires high sensitivity. Additionally, spectrum measurements up to 325 GHz are supported by connecting the External Mixer (Harmonic Mixer) MA27xxC series.

The Signal Analyzer MS2850A is a spectrum analyzer/signal analyzer with a maximum analysis bandwidth of 1 GHz and a frequency range of 9 kHz to either 32 GHz or 44.5 GHz. Its high cost-performance helps cut rising R&D and manufacturing CAPEX costs in future deployments of microwave and millimeter-wave wideband communications systems.

1 GHz Analysis Bandwidth

The 1 GHz analysis bandwidth supports wider bands for microwave and millimeter-wave communications systems, such as 5G mobile and broadcast satellites.

The signal analyzer function using FFT (Fast Fourier transform) analysis supports spectrum displays, spectrogram displays, and applications where frequency and phase change with elapsed time. In addition, frequency bands required for 5G measurements are covered and all-in-one evaluation of multicarrier signals is supported by the 5G measurement software.

Excellent Flatness Performance

The amplitude and phase flatness performance*1 over a wide analysis bandwidth of 1 GHz exceed that of other signal analyzers*2. With this performance, the MS2850A supports high-accuracy amplitude and phase measurements for each carrier in wideband communications systems, such as 5G mobile, to play a key role in improving the quality of radio communications equipment.

The MS2850A has a high ADC clipping level over an analysis bandwidth of 1 GHz. This performance can be used to obtain a wider difference from the DANL, which rises when inputting the actual signal input level and inputting a wideband signal when using an attenuator.
This wide dynamic range performance helps obtain more accurate EVM values at measurement of 5G signals. For example, in the 28 GHz band, the measured dynamic range at the difference between the ADC clipping level and DANL is better than 140 dB (ref.).

Combining the 5G analysis software with the MS2850A offers an EVM performance of <1% at measurement of a 5G single carrier(100 MHz wide, 28 GHz)*1.

And even wider dynamic range performance is achieved over the difference between the MS2850A high ADC clipping level (0 dBm*2) and DANL.

Multicarrier Analysis and Batch Measurement at 1 GHz

The 5G measurement software uses the 1 GHz analysis bandwidth of the MS2850A to support batch (all-at-once) measurement of all 5G signal carriers (8 carriers x 100 MHz wide). The characteristics of each single carrier can be evaluated quickly at the same time without needing to measure each single carrier separately.

High-Accuracy Measurement due to MS2850A Amplitude and Phase Flatness

The amplitude and phase flatness performance of the MS2850A over the wide analysis bandwidth of 1 GHz (max.) exceed that of other signal analyzers. For example, suppressing the measuring instrument error enables phase adjustment of each path in an antenna array.

MS269xA Series Signal Analyzers are the latest high performance signal analyzers for next-generation communication applications. The MS269xA Series Signal Analyzer base units include swept spectrum analysis, FFT signal analysis, and a precision digitizer function. Add options to incorporate a Signal Generator, to turn the instrument into a hassle free, plug and play, one box solution.

The MS269xA Series Signal Analyzers support a standard analysis bandwidth of 31.25 MHz that can be extended to 62.5 MHz /125 MHz with optional hardware. Using a patented calibration process, the multipoint amplitude calibration and the phase calibration result in a level accuracy of ±0.5 dB across a 6 GHz span. No other analyzer on the market can meet that specification! These boxes are superlative in every way -- they measure the widest signals and using the latest technology, make measurements faster than ever before. The modular architecture ensures a box that grows as measurement requirements change.


Ultra-High Speed ACLR Measurement

Averaging is a common technique for obtaining stable measurement results when measuring adjacent channel leakage power ratio (ACLR) and occupied bandwidth (OBW) using a spectrum analyzer. The MS269xA Signal Analyzer supports these measurements at high speed by using a capture function.


Capture Function Requires No Averaging

Ex. 1 : Measurement using conventional spectrum analyzer.
The spectrum analyzer requires more time to measure because it must sweep for the number of averaging times.
Ex. 2 : Measurement using signal analyzer.
The signal analyzer performs high-speed measurement even at the same number of averaging times by capturing the entire in-band data at one time. (8x high speed).
Ex. 3 : Batch capture measurement using signal analyzer.
The signal analyzer performs ultra-high-speed measurement by capturing data once for the measurement time equivalent to the averaging times, eliminating the need for averaging. (65x ultra-high-speed)

Measurement Principle:

ms269xa_batch_capture

The signal analyzer function cuts the measurement time from 2.6s to 0.04s (65x faster) compared to using a conventional spectrum analyzer.

When the Spectrum Analyzer (Ex. 1) sweep time is 95 µs and number of display points is 1001, the time per display point is about 95 µs. To obtain about the same accuracy for one measurement with the Spectrum Analyzer at the Signal Analyzer (Ex. 2), set Analysis Length to 95 µs. Additionally, set Analysis Length to 1900 µs (95 µs x 20 times) to obtain the accuracy for 20 measurement using the Spectrum Analyzer as shown in Ex. 3.


Advantage of Ultra-High-Speed ACLR Measurement


Amplifier adjustment is laborious work (adjustment < > confirmation) requiring confirmation of various performance items, such as the distortion compensation circuit, current adjustment, and frequency characteristics. As a result, careful ACLR adjustment requires a lot of time.

In particular, amplifiers for high-performance base stations require several performance adjustments. Using the MS269xA cuts the work time by a factor of 10.

Conventional spectrum analyzers perform level calibration at just one frequency point, which causes errors when the frequency changes. The MS269xA Level Calibration technology assures excellent level accuracy over a wide frequency range from 50 Hz to 6 GHz even under measurement conditions including the following three errors.

The MS269xA's Total Level Accuracy includes Frequency Characteristics, Linearity and Attenuator Switching Error, where most other spectrum analyzers does not include.

The level accuracy is assured even when the frequency and attenuator are switched. Better accuracy translates to better yield and less down time.

The MS2720T represents the highest performance handheld spectrum analyzers available in the world as Anritsu pushes the envelope closer to benchtop quality. This generation introduces a touch screen, full-band tracking generators to 20 GHz, and best-in-class performance for dynamic range, DANL, phase noise, and sweep speed.

Fast Sweep

The new fast sweep mode has the paradigm-busting capability to set resolution bandwidth from 10 MHz to 30 kHz with very little effect on sweep speed. The sweep speed with a 30 kHz bandwidth is about the same as it is when using a 10 MHz RBW. You can now select your sensitivity without the need for long sweep times.

Burst Detect

Being able to reliably detect bursty signals is vital in the efforts to find intermittent or bursty emitters. Using burst detect, emitters as narrow as 200 µs can be captured the first time, every time.

Touch Screen

The MS2720T includes a touch screen user interface. On the touch screen menu the user can add shortcut buttons for any menu button or file on the instrument. Using this capability, a setup file can be recalled with a single press of the touch screen.

Tracking Generators

The 9 GHz, 13 GHz and 20 GHz instruments can be equipped with a tracking generator that covers 9 kHz to the top frequencies of the instrument. Power output is leveled and adjustable from 0 dBm to -40 dBm in 0.1 dB steps over the full temperature range of the instrument: -10 °C to +55 °C.

Finding Signals

Hidden transmitters can be challenging to find, especially if they are operating at frequencies very near a high power transmitter. With Spectrum Master™ you get the powerful combination of low phase noise, wide RBW range down to 1 Hz, and wide dynamic range. Even if a transmitter is hidden within 10 Hz of a strong AM carrier, it can be seen with Spectrum Master. The trace display choices and detector choices combine to make it easy to detect intermittent signals in the presence of steady signals, and burst detect makes direction finding bursty signals easier than it has ever been.

Interference Analysis

Interference is an ever-growing concern for anyone who transmits a signal over the air. Spectrum Master™ is ideally suited for tracking down interference with its great lineup of interference measuring capability. Spectrogram shows you what is happening over time so spotting intermittent interferers becomes easy. Signal strength measurement, coupled with a directional antenna, makes finding rogue transmitters much easier. You can even get an audio indicator of the strength of the signal so you can find the transmitter without having to watch the display.

Storage

Measurements, limit lines, JPEG screen shots and setup files can be stored internally or to an external USB memory. There is sufficient internal memory to store thousands of spectrum analyzer traces. By using external USB memory, tens of thousands of measurements, limit lines and setup files or hundreds of JPEG screen shots can be saved and easily transferred onto a computer.

Smart Measurements

The Spectrum Master™ family has dedicated routines for one-button measurements of field strength, channel power, occupied bandwidth, Adjacent Channel Power Ratio (ACPR) C/I, Spectrum Emission Mask, and Spurious Emissions. These are increasingly critical measurements for today´s wireless communication systems. The simple interface for these complex measurements significantly reduces test time and increases analyzer usability.

  • the MS2711E allows you to monitor wireless systems easier than ever before. Measurements include received signal strength (RSSI), channel power, adjacent channel power ratio (APCR), and occupied bandwidth measurements that can confirm the distortion level or channel power level of an AMPS, TDMA, CDMA or GSM transmitter. Additionally, the MS2711E can locate and identify out-of-band spurious signals when analyzing a wireless base station transmitter, while the field strength mode allows users to measure propagation and coverage, or to pinpoint electromagnetic (EM) leakage in broadcast systems. Measurement of carrier to interference ratio is included.

The LMR Master™ S412E is Anritsu´s second-generation solution for installing and maintaining public safety systems. Built on Anritsu´s ninth-generation handheld platform, this solution combines a high-performance receiver/spectrum analyzer with the world's most advanced handheld vector network analyzer (VNA). It also includes a CW/P25 (Phase 1 & Phase 2), DMR (MotoTRBO™), TETRA, NXDN™, and PTC signal generator with internally adjustable power from 0 dBm to -130 dBm.

This instrument is ideal for land mobile radio (LMR) and professional mobile radio (PMR) technicians and engineers engaged in field testing the RF performance of NBFM, P25, P25 Phase 2 (TDMA), DMR (MotoTRBO), TETRA, NXDN, dPMR, and LTE for commercial, public safety, maritime, and critical infrastructure radio systems. It also offers support for USA Class 1 railway Positive Train Control systems.

The base model comes equipped with a VNA and spectrum analyzer, plus support for analysis and testing of narrowband FM radio systems including coverage mapping of RSSI, transmitter SINAD, and transmitter THD. Optional support for digital land mobile radio standards including P25 (TIA-102.CAAA-C), P25 Phase 2 (TIA-102.CCAA), ETSI DMR Tier 2 (MotoTRBO), ETSI TETRA, NXDN, dPMR, and PTC is available. An optional GPS receiver enables support for coverage mapping (touchscreen-tagged when indoor, GPS-tagged outdoor) of analog and digital land mobile radio systems. It also offers options for over-the-air analysis of FDD-LTE for broadband public safety systems and analysis of WiMAX™ (Fixed IEEE 802.16d and Mobile IEEE 802.16e) for intersite backhaul systems. The instrument may also be equipped with a spectrogram recorder, interference analyzer with support for the Handheld InterferenceHunter™ MA2700A, programmable channel scanner, external high-accuracy RF power meter (including both terminating and inline sensors), distance domain for cable analysis, and a vector voltmeter.

Other Highlights

The high-performance 500 kHz to 1600 MHz VNA can be used to sweep cables and antenna systems. To power tower-mounted amplifiers, an internal bias tee is optionally available. Frequency domain reflectometry (FDR) distance-to-fault measurements are used to characterize antenna systems. The distance-to-fault measurements can easily spot poor connections, contamination, damaged cables, and water penetration. Both the VNA and spectrum analyzer can be optionally extended to cover up to 6 GHz. Patented RF interference rejection enables accurate, repeatable measurements in the presence of high-level RF activity.

The LMR Master™ S412E's VNA offers excellent transmission dynamic range performance (> 100 dB) that can be used to view and adjust the RF performance of critical RF devices including filters, duplexers, transmitter combiners, receiver multi-couplers, and tower-mounted amplifiers. The measurements (in either frequency or time domain) are quickly displayed and updated with the S412E's fast 850 µs/point sweep speed. The display is variable from 2 to 4001 data points, allowing maximum flexibility for custom setups. For users who prefer a more streamlined interface, the display can also be set to emulate an Anritsu Site Master™.

This solution has an excellent DANL of -152 dBm (RBW = 10 Hz, Atten = 0 dB, f < 2.4 GHz) combined with a third-order intercept of over +16 dBm. This makes this instrument ideal for identification and location of low-level signals that can interfere with land mobile radio systems, even in the presence of strong nearby transmitters. The LMR Master™ S412E comes standard with an industry-leading low phase noise (< -100 dBc/Hz typical @ 10 kHz offset) that allows precise measurement of NBFM, P25, NXDN, and DMR emission masks.

The high-accuracy power meter option provides true RMS measurements using external sensors, including inline sensors. It is the ideal solution for making accurate measurements of both CW and modulated signals. Channelized power measurements can be made with the internal power meter, and the channel scanner option provides users with a convenient way to scan up to 20 channels.

The LMR Master™ S412E includes data analysis software, soft carrying case, rechargeable/field-replaceable battery, AC/DC power supply, 12V automobile cigarette lighter adapter and a comprehensive User's Guide.

Anritsu is proud to introduce the MA8100A TRX NEON® Signal Mapper, a 3D in-building coverage mapping solution for use with all Anritsu handheld instruments with spectrum analyzer mode using channel power measurements. Instruments supported include LMR Master™, Spectrum Master™, Site Master™, BTS Master, Cell Master™, and VNA Master™.


Mapping without GPS

Where GPS is unavailable, the Anritsu MA8100A solution delivers real-time 3D location information for indoor test and measurement applications. Available with 1, 3 and 5 year licenses, the MA8100A consists of a TRX Systems NEON® Tracking Unit, NEON® Signal Mapper Software for Android devices, NEON® Command Software for Microsoft™ Windows™ computers, and TRX NEON® Cloud Service.

* Anritsu MA8100A In-Building Coverage Mapping with TRX NEON® Signal Mapper. An Android phone or tablet is required to run the signal mapper software (Android device and PC must be purchased separately).

The NEON® Tracking Unit supports collection and processing of sensor data that delivers 3D location information.

The NEON® Signal Mapper Application provides an intuitive Android user interface enabling lightly trained users to map signal and sensor information within buildings; users can initialize their location, start/stop mapping and upload/ download mapping data to/from the cloud.

The NEON® Command Software enables creation and visualization of 3D building maps and provides centralized access to the NEON® Cloud Service to access stored maps and measurement data.

With the addition of the MA8100A TRX NEON® Signal Mapper, Anritsu now offers a powerful and unique 3D in-building signal mapping tool for our handheld spectrum analyzer instruments.

The MA8100A allows users to collect accurate, actionable data in every part of a building easily and efficiently. Areas like stairwells and elevators, traditionally difficult to address with 2D manual mapping solutions, are now conquered with ease.

The MA8100A also provides end users with centralized access to all of the location information that has been logged via the included Cloud Service. Users can easily access previously saved building maps and measurement results anywhere with internet access.

Anritsu´s ElectroMagnetic Field (EMF) Measurements are designed to measure radiation compliance with various national standards for personal safety set by governmental regulatory authorities. Many countries have mandated EMF safety testing in areas where cellular or other high power transmission antennas are located. The EMF option is primarily targeted to both cellular operators and government regulators. Additionally, contractors and small service companies perform building inspections and field surveys to monitor radiation exposure intensities in areas situated near transmission antennas.

Anritsu´s EMF Measurements are designed to be easy to use, while providing the user with numerous automated features which will enable them to do their job quickly and more efficiently. ElectroMagnetic field measurements (EMF, Option 444) are available on the following Anritsu Spectrum Master™, Cell Master™ and LMR Master™ products: MS2711E, MS2712E, MS2713E, MS2720T, MT8212E, MT8213E and S412E. Firmware version 1.56 or later is required for the MS2711E/12E/13E and MT8212E/13E. For the MS2720T and S412E

EMF Option (444) provides the capability to measure electromagnetic field radiation when used in conjunction with an Anritsu isotropic antenna. Automated measurements can be taken using user-definable time intervals.
