The 66205 is the 2nd generation of the 66200 series power meter designed specifically for single channel measurement. Its state of art design is capable of providing highly accurate power measurements to meet the requirements of IEC 62301/EN50564 standards. Functionality improvements of the 66205 increase power measurement capabilities to a wider range of applications.
The Smart Range function is one of the most important new features added to the 66205 power meter. Smart Range allows the power integration mode to perform active power measurements with the measurement range in auto mode. Chroma's proprietary design automatically selects the appropriate range, based on changes in sensed voltage and current, ensures the best accuracy when integrating the measurements over time.
The 66205 provides 10 selectable current measurement ranges from 5mA up to 30A. External current sensor options with current rating ranging from 60A~1200A are available to increase the current measurement range.
Six selectable voltage ranges are available up to 600V. External sensor option A662023 can be used to increase the voltage measurement range to 1.8kV. The 66205 provides a low range error up to 0.05% and is capable of meeting the measurement uncertainty requirement of IEC 62301/EN50564.
66205 power meter is designed to comply with IEC 61000-4-7. Continuous high-performance harmonic measurement, with 5Hz frequency resolution and a packet harmonic function, it can accurately measure sub-harmonics, inter-harmonics and harmonics.
For remote operation, the 66205 offers 4 types of communication interfaces including GPIB, USB, RS-232 and LAN (optional). Using the SoftPanel, it can create complete test reports and perform power quality as well as regulation tests. In addition, its STORE function records the measured values and saves them to a USB storage device. The Limit function can be used for production tests by performing GO/NG tests on the upper and lower limits of voltage, current and power parameters; additionally, it can be integrated into automated production when I/O port is used. The 66205 is a great fit for meeting the demanding tasks of R&D, production and quality control.

Chroma 66203/66204 Power Meters are designed for multiple phase power measurement applications. The wiring mode function allows the user to take accurate power measurements for various wiring modes 1P2W/1P3W/3P3W/3P4W as well as providing accurate standard power measurements common for most electrical devices. A unique feature of the 66203/66204 is its stateof- the-art DSP digitizing technology instead of less accurate and slower traditional analog circuits. The internal 16 bits analog/digital converters with sampling rates of up to 250kHz provide both high speed and high accuracy measurements which is unprecedented within the industry for this class of power meters.
The instruments include a four part display with 7-segment LED front panel readouts. Users can easily select desired parameters and readouts with a touch of a button. The 66203/66204 meters also include remote control using USB or GPIB interfaces via rear panel connections.
The 66203/66204 are packaged in a 3U high, half rack enclosure suitable for bench top or system integration. The power meters are capable of supporting external shunts and CT for higher current application. The 4 channel 66204 is suitable for input and output parameter measurement and efficiency of 3 phase PV inverters can be calculated with measurement of the DC voltage/current at the input side of the inverter.
The 66203/66204 power meters include a 2-shunt design to provide high accurate readings for both low and high current measurements. The power meters also suppor t features such as Inrush current, Total Harmonic Distortion of V/I, and Energy measurements. With these practical functions, the 66203/66204 power meters are suitable for meeting the demanding tasks of R&D, production and quality control departments.

The 63200E series are high power DC loads that include a choice of three operating voltages, 150V, 600V and 1,200V, with power levels from 2kW to 24kW and up to 2,000A in a single unit. Power levels can increase up to 240kW when multiple units are paralleled.
These high power loads are designed for testing a wide range of EV products including DC charging stations, car battery discharge, on board charger power components, and other power electronics components. With its high power capabilities, parallel control and dynamic synchronization functions make this load ideal for automotive batteries, fuel cells and more.
The 63200E load's master/slave control application enables units with the same voltage specification to be used in parallel and synchronized dynamically to meet the power testing requirements. In addition, a 255-set data storage function has been built-in for recall of the stored settings at any time. When used in automated testing, the save and recall functions can save a great deal of time.
When using a traditional power meter, unstable measurement data can occur if the UUT power consumption levels are unstable or operating in non-linear modes (i.e. power supply hiccup modes). This is due to load current conditions which maybe different for different measurement aperture windows (T1, T2, T3 and T4 below). A simple averaging calculation can only provide a visual stable value but still lose some transient data.
A Window Mode method that calculates all data within the user-defined window time (Tw) is recommended. So, users can get a real average value without any data lose. An accumulated energy approach method (i.e. integration mode) for power measurements is also provided. This integration mode calculates active power values by integrating energy from V and I in a user-defined time period (Ti). In this way, users can achieve accurate readings with guaranteed transient-free variations. The 66200 meters provide a 10 mA minimum current range with crest factor 4, and 0.1 mW measurement resolution for low power application (<10W), and less than 2% uncertainty even for No-Load mode power measurements. These functions make 66200 an ideal choice for ENERGY STAR / IEC 62301 / ErP measurement requirements.
The Model 66202 Digital Power Meter can measure voltage and current Total Harmonic Distortion (THD) directly which can be displayed in percentage format. For some requirements (ENERGY STAR), users need to verify the THD of AC supply voltage when supplying the UUT in the specified mode not to exceed 2%, up to and including the 13th harmonic (as specified in IEC 62301). The Model 66202 also provides a function to define a user-specify distortion order n, (n is from 2 to 50) for measuring harmonic distortion. The calculation formula is listed below. Thus, the instrument can easily measure distortion values as required by the ENERGY STAR requirements.
The Model 66202 Digital Power Meter provides inrush current ( Is ) measurement function. Users can set a current level for triggering the starting point of measurement. Users also can use an external TTL signal to trigger inrush current measurement through a port of the Control-Signals on real panel. The delay parameter can help users to ignore the peak value B after the trigger point A. The parameter, T, can let users set a time period for measuring the peak value during Time T. The application is to avoid getting the inrush current value that is caused by X capacitor of a power supply.
